Job Description

Title: Electrical Foreman
Minimum requirements:

• A recognised Electrical Trade Certificate
• An N3 trade-related or equivalent
• A Foreman Certificate or equivalent, including Supervisory Development Programme
• A Code B driver’s licence
• A Medical Certificate of Fitness
• English proficiency
• Basic computer literacy (MS Word/Excel/Outlook)
• A minimum of 5 years’ experience as an Artisan in the mining industry
• At least 25 years of age

• Project management knowledge and experience
• Experience in a supervisory position
• An MV Switching Certificate
• Gold/plant experience

 Operation: Kusasalethu Plant

Role and responsibilities:
• Ensure that engineering targets are set to support the production process
• Ensure equipment availability so that production targets can be achieved
• Maintain engineering standards and procedures and COP master files
• Be responsible for health and safety in area of responsibility
• Ensure engineering and technical activities are integrated and coordinated
• Ensure favourable conditions for optimal performance are created
• Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, technical standards policies, procedures and practices
• Work with administrative best practices
• Maintain high safety standards
• Comply with established communication channels and enhance when required
