Job Description

Title: Training Coordinator 

Minimum requirements:
• National Certificate ODETDP Level 5 or equivalent
• Blasting Certificate
• Mine Overseer’s Certificate (will be an advantage)
• Code EB driver’s licence and own transport
• Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, e-mail and the Internet)
• At least 5 years’ experience within training field, minimum of 3 years as Training Officer/Moderator
• Certificate of Fitness/ability to obtain one
• Integrity, reliable and ethical
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and English proficiency
• Ability to cope with pressure
• Good self-management skills
• Knowledge of relevant legislation

Operation: Joel Mine - Free State

Role and responsibilities:
• Report to the Mine Human Resources Leader
• Liaise with Central Training & Development Manager
• Comply with the requirements of the Quality Management System
• Provide expert advice on training and development matters
• Assist in identifying employees for further development (IDPs)
• Establish and maintain constructive, safe and productive working relations with the Training Team
• Create high-performance culture
• Ensure career development paths are developed, implemented and monitored
• Ensure timeous compilation and distribution of Training and Development reports
• Ensure that all relevant training information is accurately and timeously captured on MQA MIS system
