Title: Mine Overseer Production
Minimum requirements:

• Grade 12, Mine Overseer’s Certificate of Competency
• Blasting Certificate and Strata Control Certificate
• Valid Certificate of Fitness or the ability to obtain one
• English proficiency
• Strata Control Certificate
• Computer literacy
• Hazard identification and risk assessment
• 4 years’ gold mining development experience as a Mine Overseer
• Knowledge of all departments on the mine
• First Aid Certificate
• Worked as Mine Overseer on vertical shafts
• Relevant psychometric assessment

• Mining Engineering tertiary qualification (Metalliferous Mine)
• Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency will be advantageous

Operation: Doornkop - Gauteng
Roles and responsibilities:

• Achieve production targets safely and efficiently
• Comply with relevant legislation, mining management systems processes, policies, procedures and standards and meet the gold call for the operation
• Report to the Mining Manager
• Fulfil the requirements of the legal appointment (2.14.1) of the MHSA in an underground development team
• Achieve development and safety targets
• Manage budgets stores and labour
• Create a safe environment in her/her working places through coaching and team work
• Maintain a healthy relationship with his/her stoping/development team
• Plan and achieve continuous improvement of key result areas
