The following position is available to an individual looking to realise their full potential in a dynamic level and simulating environment.
The incumbent will optimise, manage and improve maintenance of the chrome ore beneficiation process in a safe and cost-effective manner in order to meet production requirements and customer specifications.
Main responsibilities: • Develop, update and implement process strategy in order to optimise production and recovery in support of the Metallurgical department • Ensure that the Mine’s safety policies, values and principles are complied with in all business decisions and actions relevant to the plants
• Develop and manage effective financial planning and control so as to ensure the efficient operation of the plants in line with strategic goals and initiatives
• Monitor and interrogate process data to identify trends and potential issues and find appropriate solutions • Continually liaise with Marketing/Laboratory/Logistics to ensure product quality according to client specifications
• Investigate non-conforming products and take corrective action • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities for all products • Be responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving • Maintain discipline at all times.
Key requirements: • Grade 12 • BTech/BSc Eng Metallurgy or Chemical Engineering (with Mineral Processing) • MDP/MBL/MBA will be advantageous
