Systems Analyst (C5) (1 Position)
The successful applicant will report to the HOD: Finance or nominee.
Minimum educational requirements: • Diploma: IT/Accounting/Engineering • Code 08 (EB) Driver’s Licence.
Advantageous: Bachelor’s Degree: IT/Accounting/Engineering.
Experience (including but not limited to): 5-8 years’ extensive experience in financial systems.
Duties (including but not limited to): • Manage the general finance system support and improvement programme, with a focus on JDE • Business Intelligence (BI) Development, ie Qlikview • Liaise with finance and other departments, in particular business process owners and application key users • Partner with software provider for software releases, upgrades and remediation needs • Manage Service Level Agreement (SLA) processes in assigned areas of responsibility as required • Provide secondary support to finance applications user group • Direct new developments, enhancements and remediation work • Manage system change control processes and ensure sufficient technical documentation • Provide reactionary support and preventive maintenance on systems and interfaces in assigned areas of responsibility • Identify improvement areas and drive changes to technology-enabled best practice • Identify training needs with respect to the managed applications and support user application training.
