Salary notch: R334 545 plus 37% in lieu of benefits per annum (Level 9) (Ref. 140337/4)
Requirements: • BCom degree, BCom Economics majoring in Development Studies or any appropriate 3-year post-Matric National Diploma • 5-8 years’ recognised experience in business linkages preferably in institutional development • 5 years’ experience in the TVET College’s Management or in the relevant field, will be an added advantage • Project and financial management are the prerequisites • Knowledge and understanding of business development and how the TVET Business Linkage impacts on community, learners and business and the current legislative framework to enable interventions • Ability and competence to manage College and Business Linkages structures and projects • Problem-solving and conflict resolution skills • Ability to influence business community and Seta’s and group participation in their own self-empowerment ventures • Computer literacy and presentation skills • Written and verbal communication skills • Project management • Knowledge of Public Services Management framework eg PFMA, LR Acts and HR & Financial Management • Verbal and written communication skills • Planning and organisation skills • Language proficiency • Sound knowledge of relevant legislation in TVET sector and better understanding of Quality Management process and procedures of Seta’s and its functions.
Duties: • Develop business solutions aligned to the College Vision and those of the Department of Higher Education & Training and provide effective business plans to generate revenue for CJC TVET College • Increase brand loyalty and improve teaching and learning satisfactorily • Identify and develop new and existing referral sources to develop a successful referral relationship, actively identify and generate a prospectus focusing on College’s target markets and College interest • Maintain a good work relationship with existing Seta’s to enhance learner retention and new business referrals • Coordinate the identification, facilitation and implementation of the intervention in partnership and other relevant stakeholders through efficient, effective and economical utilisation of resources through the service delivery • Coordinate and manage Innovative Business Linkages • Business Development Solution within the College and ensure effective service delivery through proper utilisation of human, financial and physical resource • General consultation with business community • Participate in the recruitment and retention of employees within the unit • General consultation with business communities and advise employees and past learners about/regarding follow-up action taken • Disseminate all relevant information within service delivery • Participate and make input into business Development Forum • Coordinate the gathering of information for the development of operational and business plans of service delivery area(s) and report on progress as required • Ensure and execute administrative duties prescribed for the position • Compile report as required • Facilitate the consultative process for the review of policies or its amendment at the College.
