ASSISTANT DIRECTOR: ESTATE AND FLEET MANAGEMENT
Salary notch: R334 545 plus 37% in lieu of benefits per annum (Level 9) (Ref. 140337/3)
Requirements: • Appropriate Bachelor’s degree/National Diploma or Transport Management qualification specifically related to Operations Management • Qualification in Estate and Infrastructures will be an added advantage • At least 5 years’ supervisory experience • Interpersonal and problem-solving skills a must • Full understanding of occupational and safety management or build technology • Good communication skills within the College environment and written ability to be able to write reports and conduct presentations • Be conversant in English • Computer literacy MS Word, PowerPoint • Driver’s licence.
Duties: • Ability and competence to manage College’s Fleet & Estate structures and projects • Design, manage and maintain proactive and relevant estate and fleet management plan • Ensure that the CJC complies with all relevant statutory and policy requirements • Manage facilities and fleets • Ensure that purchasing is in line with procurements plans and budget • Develop budget plans • Ability to influence Campus Management to participate in their infrastructure improvement • Participate and make input to various stakeholder meetings • Operate and control travelling waste treatment • Perform housekeeping, monitor vehicle wastage, consumables and an estate • Write monthly reports and report breakdowns to the Principal.
