The successful candidate will report to the Production Manager and be responsible for:
• Managing the water supply system, together with its associated infrastructure, to meet the consumer demands of the area with regard to water quality, quantity and cost • Coordinating production activities with procurement, maintenance • Preparing production, quality control and operational reports to ensure accurate and completed information and taking corrective action/escalating where necessary • Developing and implementing operating methods and procedures designed to eliminate operating problems and improve water quality • Preparing production schedules and prioritising equipment failure or operating problems • Liaising with the SHE department to maintain and improve the ISO 14000 system.
In order to be considered for appointment, candidates must have: • Registration as a Class V Process Controller as per DWS Regulation 17 • A National Diploma Water Care or equivalent with
3 years’ management experience OR BTech Water Care or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ water treatment experience • At least 1 year’s experience in a supervisory role • Computer literacy • A valid Code EB driver’s licence. A Management qualification will be an added advantage.
