The Air Traffic and Navigation Services Company Limited (ATNS) is a PFMA Schedule 2 Public Entity. The government of South Africa, through the Minister of Transport, is the sole shareholder of the company. ATNS sources, develops, markets, distributes and supports a complete range of air traffic and navigation service designed to meet the expectations of access, equity, safety, efficiency and affordability in supporting its clients and the Air Traffic Management Community at large.
CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
Reporting to the Board of Directors, the successful candidate will:
• Position ATNS as a key and relevant role-player to derive maximum benefit from its engagement with all stakeholders
• Offer significant experience in successful stakeholder engagement and negotiation across a wide stakeholder base, locally and internationally
• Offer a strong leadership profile with commercial acumen and experience gained in a senior strategic management position in a complex and dynamic environment
• Ensure compliance with corporate governance and relevant legislation.
Requirements: • Maturity to align the organisation and to respond to the external business environment • Possess and illustrate a balance between technical and managerial capability with strength in process mindset • Demonstrate a sound approach to the development of people and ensure a sustainable skills pipeline • Demonstrate maturity in stakeholder management particularly interaction with a Board of Directors • Demonstrable track record of driving change, organisational transformation and innovation • Ideally have gained experience in a highly technology-driven, rapidly growing and regulated environment • Relevant Bachelor’s degree and an MBA or equivalent postgraduate management qualification would be advantageous.
