Exciting and challenging position
The JDA is an agency of the City of Johannesburg which stimulates and supports area-based economic development initiatives throughout the Johannesburg metropolitan area in support of Joburg 2040. As development manager of these initiatives, JDA coordinates and manages capital investment and other programmes involving both public and private sector stakeholders.
The following position is available for an achievement-oriented individual with initiative and a commitment to give substance to this vision.

Supply Chain Management Coordinator
All-inclusive package: R268 000-R322 000 per annum

Purpose of the position: To provide administrative support to the Supply Chain Management Department and ensure the effective implementation of the JDA policies and procedures; to assist with the filing of documents in accordance with the JDA filing and archiving system.
Key responsibilities: Execute all processes involved in the procurement processes for the JDA by: • Compiling tender register for all tenders • Keeping an updated tender registry form of all tenders collected • Keeping a registry book for all tenders received on the closing date • Registering new vendors, creation of purchase orders and updating current vendors on Great Plains • Keeping a register of all quotation requested and received • Making copies of SCM document for new employees • Submitting invoices related to procurement cost centre to Finance • Keeping a register of all the invoices paid out of procurement cost center • Compiling monthly and quarterly reports required in terms of the Supply Chain Management Policy • Performing any ad hoc tasks related to procurement • Uploading tender submission on JDA website after tender closure • Ensuring that the evaluation process is compliant with the JDA SCM Policy. Maintain a database of the JDA service providers and written quotations by: • Reviewing and updating supplier database • Updating database with new applications • Monitoring rotation of suppliers • Inviting suppliers to register on the JDA supplier database • Ensuring that a current and updated supplier database at all times. Maintain and update correct contract register for OPEX contracts by: • Keeping a register of all contracts submitted to the Procurement and Contracts • Informing clients once their contracts are approved by the CEO • Filing all approved contract documents • Retrieving documents in order to answer any queries • Ensuring the availability and correctness of contracts at all times. Execute all processes involved in the archiving and retrieving of a proper filing system of approved contract documentation by: • Ensuring files are captured in Rengisa and coordinating off-site filling for JDA • Verifying the correctness of validity of information before filing • Making requisition orders for the boxes used for archiving • Filing all the current files in the basement • Communicating with Metrofile Archive Services, for collection of boxes to be archived off-site • Retrieving files for Auditors during audit processes • Updating file with new SCM regulations and circulars • Updating and informing staff of all new Treasury Regulations regarding SCM • Ensuring that all documents are filed in accordance with JDA Filing and Archiving System. Provide assistance to the SCM Manager with BAC and BEC meetings by: • Making copies of the bid reports for the bid committee members • Attending bid specification and evaluation meetings • Preparing and distributing agendas and signed BAC reports • Attending Bid Evaluation meetings.
Education and experience required: • Matric plus 2-year Diploma in Supply Chain Management/Logistics • At least
2-3 years’ experience in an administrative function in related/similar field • Knowledge of public sector environment • Knowledge of supply chain and contracts environment • Proven record of administration and filing experience • Proficiency in financial management information system • Attention to detail • Ability to work under pressure • Good interpersonal skills • Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
This is permanent employment. The JDA offers market-related salary commensurate with experience and qualifications.
