ENTERPRISE & SUPPLIER DEVELOPMENT MANAGER
An excellent opportunity exists for an experienced professional to fulfil the role of Enterprise and Supplier Development Manager based at our Head Office in Alton, Richards Bay. The position reports to the Chief Financial Officer and the incumbent will essentially be responsible for managing transformation in line with the B-BBEE Act and the organisation’s Supplier Development Strategy.
Key performance areas: • Manage the Enterprise and Supplier Development function by: * Identifying qualifying and deserving targeted enterprises for development * Compiling and implementing capacity building programmes for targeted enterprises * Proposing partnership agreements with service providers for the benefit of SMME development * Implementing the organisation’s B-BBEE Policy and ESD Strategy * Ensuring the increase in BEE spend by promoting and empowering SMME companies in the organisation’s procurement * Implementing enterprise and supplier development initiatives, workshops and awareness programmes for emerging suppliers
* Conducting briefing sessions on gaps identified in the completion of bid documents for emerging contractors and SMMEs * Conducting supplier performance evaluations and monitoring so as to monitor and drive the development of SMMEs • Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation • Manage the annual B-BBEE verification process to have the organisation’s B-BBEE scorecard updated • Ensure that the Enterprise and Supplier Development Section provides all necessary support to the organisation to improve on the B-BBEE spend • Manage the section in terms of the resources allocated in the allocation of the budget, staffing and other resources.
Requirements: • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree, however a Bachelor in Commerce degree will be advantageous • Extensive knowledge of Supply Chain Management is essential • Minimum of 10 years’ Supply Chain-related experience at a managerial level is essential • Computer literate with MS Office • Excellent knowledge of PPPFA, PFMA, B-BBEE, National Treasury Regulations and other applicable legislation relevant to Supply Chain and Procurement in particular • Analytical, organised and ability to handle multiple assignments • Good interpersonal relationship skills • Communication and presentation skills • Ability to influence people and negotiation skills • Confident, proactive and a high regard for integrity, ethics, confidentiality and honesty are critical.
