Overberg Water Board, Head Office, Somerset West
The successful candidate will be responsible for accurate accounting records and accurate reporting including, but not limited to, monthly management accounts, annual financial statements, quarterly reports and asset management. This role is also responsible for preparing and monitoring budgets as well as the financial month-end and year-end functions.
Requirements: • A recognised and accredited degree or diploma from a tertiary institution in Cost and Management Accounting or equivalent • Minimum NQF level 6 • Extensive knowledge of applicable government prescripts, such as PFMA, MFMA, IAS, IFRS and Treasury Regulations • A high level of computer literacy • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel • A minimum of 5 years’ managerial level experience • registration with the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants as a Chartered Management Accountant will serve as an advantage.
