Job Description

Finsch Diamond Mine

Finsch Mine is located in the town of Lime Acres which is situated 160km north west of Kimberley and 109km south of Kuruman in the Northern Cape.
Production Systems and Improvement Specialist
The incumbent will manage the control room function, maintain system functionality, analyse data, compile reports and identify optimisation studies and improvement initiatives.
Tasks and responsibilities: • Implement simulation models • Optimise systems and processes • Manage and coordinate subordinates • Compile daily, weekly and monthly reports for relevant stakeholders • Establish and coordinate communication between relevant departments.
Minimum requirements: • B degree in any of the following: Industrial Engineering; Mining Engineering; Electrical/Mechanical Engineering; C & I Engineering • Leadership Development Programme • Minimum of 5 years’ mining systems experience in a mining environment • Advanced computer literacy (MS Office suite) • Working knowledge of Networks and SQL – indicate clearly on CV • Business information systems (Microsoft Power BI) - indicate clearly on CV • Working knowledge of mine planning software packages, eg X-Pack; Sure Pack, OCS – indicate clearly on CV • Valid driver’s licence.
