Applicants must be in possession of an Engineering qualification in the Mechanical or Electrical field; or be a Registered Mechanical or Electrical Artisan. Further essential requirements are at least 5 years’ facilities management experience, project management experience, human resource management, in-depth knowledge of electrical and mechanical operating systems associated with utility plants, pumps – above ground and submersible, sewerage plants and municipal infrastructure.
The suitable candidate will have exceptional planning, organisational and leadership skills, in-depth understanding of computerised preventive maintenance planning systems, procurement practices and the ability to negotiate and manage supplier SLAs.
