Salary: R367 255.97-R385 941.06 per annum (Post Level 04, subject to job evaluation) plus transport allowance based on 650km per month
Requirements: • A Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration/B degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent qualification in Development Studies and Planning • Knowledge of research in the field of Strategic Planning and Management Organisational Performance Management System (PMS) • Sound knowledge of spheres of Local Government and its legislation • Computer competency • Sound communication, report-writing and presentation skills • 3-5 years’ relevant experience in Local Government in Performance Planning and Management • A valid Code EB driver’s licence.
Main duties: The successful candidate will be expected to monitor, evaluate and report on implementation of the IDP and SDBIP by: • Providing guidelines and information on the Institutional Performance Management • Coordinating specific standards and procedures associated with the implementation and execution of Performance Management • Providing information and/or reports on the status of and outcomes of Institutional Performances • Rendering performance monitoring services • Coordinating departmental performance reports required by National Treasury, Audit Committee, Auditor-General and other statutory bodies • Compiling institutional quarterly, mid-year and annual performance reports • Attending to Auditor-General and Internal Audit requirements and information • Monitoring compliance with respect to the adopted reporting structure • Conducting workshops to facilitate understanding of the system and its application in defining and measuring organisational goals and accomplishment • Maintaining the Performance Management recordkeeping system, updating files with correspondence and instructional documentation, and assessing relevant information or retrieving records to facilitate audits • Monitoring consultants advising on implementation and assessing compliance with standards and procedures to support synergy between application and understanding • Performing any other duties assigned from time to time by the IDP/PMS Manager.
